Plants, animals, and other organisms evolve adaptations to suit them to the abiotic factors in their biome. Abiotic factors to which they adapt include temperature, moisture, growing season, and soil. This is why the same type of biome in different parts of the world has organisms with similar adaptations.

QUESTION:-
explain with an example how plants adapt to grasslands Relate the adaptation to the habitat and its abiotic factors
ANSWER:-
- Plants, animals, and other living organisms evolve with their adaptations for fitting them into the abiotic factors in their biome. Abiotic factors are factors to which the adaption comprises the temperature, moisture, growing season, and the soil which is why similar types of biome in different parts of the world have plants with similar adaptations.
- For example, Leaf Waxing where nearly all desert plants develop a waxy covering on their leaves or have prickly spines. These characteristics enable them to keep water from evaporating and vanishing out of the leaves. This is an adaptation to support the prevention of dehydration in a desert climate. In this given example, the habitat is desert and the abiotic factor is high temperature and high moisture.
