A reflex arc is a neural pathway that contrals a reflex action.in higher animals, mast sensor neurons so no pass directly into the brain, but synapse in the spinal cord. However autonomic refexes sometimes involve the spinal cord and some somatric reflexes are mediated more by the brain than the spinal cord itself.
