Answer:

By increasing pressure, particles of matter can be brought close together. When we apply pressure on a gas enclosed in a cylinder, it starts compressing and converts into liquid. Thus, by applying pressure and reducing temperature a gas can be liquefied.

Answer:

Pressure plays an important role in changing the physical state of matter. For example, when CO2 is in gaseous state, it is under a constant pressure of 1 atmosphere. when the pressure is increased along with decrease in temperature, it changes into dry ice which is a solid.

hence, we can say that, pressure affects the state of matter.
