Ice absorbs heat And then the intermolecular force of attraction reduces which results in increse inthe intermolecular space which naturally attains the intermolecular space of the water (that is the liquid)

There is an daily life example. Whenever I boil water for drinking I see that when I pour that Boiling water in glass after some time there are some water droplets at the outer part of the glass. This means that during boiling of water it changes to water vapour and then after cooling water vapour changes back to water. And when I take out the ice out of the freezer after some time I see that the ice is melting down then I suddenly put it again inside the freezer it again converts into a ice.
