This experiment is also know as the proof of the rectilinear propagation of light which means that light travels in straight line.

  • We required opaque pages, cardboard holder, and a candle
  • Then we put the three opaque pages on cardboard holder in straight line and put candle at starting of the line with burning candle.
  • When we see that light travels from tell but put something between the opaque pages like cardboard we see than light is not reaching the other page.
  • Which means light travels in straight line.
