Dear Aayush,
● Acid rain -
- Rainfall with excess of hydrogen ions in it (pH < 7) is called acid rain.
- Sulphur dioxide (SO2) & nitrogen oxide (NO2) in air on coming in contact with rain turns into sulphuric acid & nitric acid respectively.
2 SO2 + O2 + 2 H2O --> 2 H2SO4
4 NO2 + O2 + 2 H2O --> 4 HNO3
Thanks dear. Hope that was helpful...
