A movement group attempts to influence politics rather than directly take part in electrol competition.They have loose organization.Their decision making process in more informal and flexible.They depend much more on spontaneous mass participation than an interest group.It is of two types:
1.issue specific-they acheive a single objective withn a limited time frame.for example:marmada bachao andolan in india.
2.long term involving more then one issue-they are more general movements that seek to acheive a broad goal in the long term.
