Explain with examples how democracy can accommodate diversity

Democracy must fulfill two conditions in order to achieve this outcome.

(i) It is necessary to understand that democracy is not simply rule by majority opinion.

(ii) It is also necessary that rule by majority does not become rule by majority community in terms of religion, or race or linguistic groups.

for example-Free and fair elections.

Majority rule should not be in terms of religion or race or linguistic groups.

Majority should always work in consonance with the minority.
