Answer:

In a displacement reaction, a more reactive element replaces a less reactive element from a compound. In a double displacement reaction, two atoms or a group of atoms switch places to form new compounds. ... Metals react with the salt solution of another metal. Salt solutions of two different metals react with each other.

Answer:

A single displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which one element is substituted for another element,in a compound generating a new element or a new compound as product.

For Examples: 2HCI(aq) +zns >ZNCI)2 (aq)+H2(g) is an example of single displacement reaction .The hydrogen atoms in the HCI arevteplaced by Zn atoms and in the process a new element hydrogen is formed.

Whereas,a double displacement reaction occures when part of two iconic compounds are exchanged ,making two new compounds.

A characteristic of a double displacement equation is that there are two compounds as reactants and two different compounds as product.

For Example :Cu Cl²+ 2AG No(aq)>(Cu No³)2(aq)+2Ag Cl(s)

There are two equivalent ways of considering a double displacement equation, either the cationscare swapped or the anions are swapped.
