Homophones are the words that sound similar but have different meanings.

E.g.- Sun and Son
Sun means the star sun around which all the planets revolve and rotate.
Son means a male offspring.

Homograms are the words that have same spelling but different meanings.

E.g.- Bat
Bat means cricket bat and also a small and black nocturnal animal.

Examples of homophones

3) Bare - meaning  "empty"

Homographs are words which might be pronounced in a different way, but spelt exactly the same and has a completely different meaning.
