What do you mean by accelerated motion?

Accelerated motion means there must be change in velocity with time.

Now what do you mean by change in velocity?

Velocity can be changed in 3 ways,
1) Just by changing its magnitude and keeping direction constant

2) Just by changing its direction and keeping magnitude constant

3) Changing both i.e. magnitude and direction.

Note: - Velocity is a vector, whose magnitude gives us speed and its unit vector gives us direction.

So, in case of uniform circular motion, speed of object is constant and its direction is changing constantly.

As there is change is velocity, so this motion is accelerated motion.

Thanks.
