Motion is a relative concept. Try to understand..
When we say a particle is having a velocity = 5km/hr.. it is always said with respect to ground.
But when we travel in a train just sitting idle at one place... we say we are at rest, but really are we?
No.. its just with respect to the train. For a person standing outside.. we are in motion.
Actually every unit we use to measure is relative.. we need a standard quantity to measure other related quantities. Hope u got it!
