Alveoli, as we know are small structure used to store inhaled air in lungs during respiration in humans, these structure are covered with blood capillaries because the exchange of gas takes place through these alveoli as contains oxygen which gets transfered to tge blood capillaries which are carrying the impure blood and the carbon dioxide present in blood get transfered to the alveoli and later exhaled out and hence purifying the blood.
