Wonderful to hear that you are coming over for a visit to Northern Ireland next year. While the Irish weather barely knows extreme temperatures, the highest you will find in April will be 12 degrees. So I would always recommend bringing layers with you as the wind can get quite chilly up north. And Ireland wouldn't be so green with an occasional shower so an umbrella or a raincoat is a good investment here.
There are quite a few things you can visit while you are here like Belfast itself. The Titanic was built in the city and a lot of people from the area have worked in the shipyards, at the TitanicExperience you will find out more about this majestic ship and the big changes it brought the industry in Belfast. You can take one of the hop on hop off buses to tour the city which will take you to the Titanic Quarter but also to Stormont Castle where our government is seated. Every day you could take a free tour at Belfast City Hall and see this stunning building form the inside. The tale of the town is also very interesting.
One of my personal favourites would be the Crumlin Road Gaol, a Victorian era prison that closed its doors in 1996. You will get a tour of the prison and grounds and hear a lot of interesting facts about Belfast and its past.
From Belfast you are able to follow the Causeway Coastal Route which brings you along the Antrim Coast, through the famous Glens of Antrim. Each corner you turn a new surprise lies up ahead. A few of the highlights on that route are the Carrick~a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Giant's Causeway and Dunluce Castle. There are a few companies listed on our website who provide day tours throughout Northern Ireland.
