Carrying patients vary depending on injuries  

There are many examples that can be used while looking at the ways of transporting patients.

Example 1: If a patient has to go into surgery, that patient would need to be regarded in the case of his shifting. How he would be carried. Like, how will the patient be lifted, what supporting apparatuses will be used, depending on his injury what form should he be laid down in as well.

Example 2: Whatever may be the case of a patient, if the injury is a common one, then the basic rules must be followed to take the patient inside the hospital. A specialist must be present to determine the position of the patient.

Example 3: A patient with a back injury must be taken in a different manner.

  • The methods and procedures in used to transport patients depends on type of injury.

Examples:4

1]Patients who are an unconscious are transported by carrying piggy back or by pulling or lifting method.

2]Patients who cannot use their hands are transported by carrying on two-hand chair, while four-hand chair is used when support is needed for the part below the waist.

3]Stretcher: In an emergency a temporary stretcher can be made using bamboos, blanket, to transport patients

1) Cradle Method: This method is used for children and under-weight victims.

2) Carrying piggy bank: This method is used for carrying patients who are unconscious.

3) Human crutch method: If one of the legs is injured, the victim should be supported with minimum load on the other leg.

4) Pulling or lifting method: This method is used for carrying an unconscious patient, through a short distance.

5) Carrying an four-hand chair: This method is used when supported is needed for the part below the waist.

6) Stretcher: In an emergency, if a conventional stretcher is not available, then a temporary strecher can be made using bamboo, blanket, etc.
