We know that electricity needs a metal conductor to flow from one place to another.And during this electricity flow,heat is created on the conductor surface,due to the movement and friction between conductor surface particles.

This is heat is both desirable and undesirable because;

1)We apply this heating phenomenon in old filament bulbs, electrical heater etc.

2)But excessive heat can also cause fire or short circuit in a normal electronic circuit board.
