- Addition reaction has an addition of to unsaturated hydrocarbons with the help of Nickel catalysts for getting saturated hydrocarbon.
- Oils are unsaturated hydrocarbons. When we add oils with hydrogen, by the reaction we get saturated mass, which is vegetable ghee. Vegetable oil is always in the liquid state at room temperature.
- When we add hydrogen in presence of Nickel catalyst it gives vegetable gee or dalda, which have unsaturated fatty acids.
