• Take 2 similar plates. Place one of the plate in sunlight and keep the other under shade. Now, pour equal amount of water in each of the plate. Use a cap of bottle to measure water. Make sure that what does not spill over. Observe the two plates after every 15 min. The water seems to disappear. During the, sunlight falls on water in oceans, rivers, lakes and ponds. The fields and other land areas also receive sunlight. As result, water from all these places continuously change into vapour.However, the salt dissolved in the water are left behind. Water also disappears from the plate kept in shade, though it could have taken more time. During the daytime all the surround us get heated. This warm air provides heat for evaporation of the water in shade. Thus, it is prove that evaporation of water is faster in then in shade
