Aim- To understand Ignition temperature
Materials required - A piece of wood, some kerosene in a glass cup.
Procedure-
• Take a candle and burn it’s wick.
• Bring the candle near the piece of wood. Observe.
• Now bring the candle near kerosene.
Observe.
Observation- When we bring candle near wood, it does not catch fire. But when the candle is bought near the kerosene cup, the kerosene catches fire fast. This means that the temperature at which kerosene burns is lower than which at wood burns.
Conclusion- Ignition temperature is the temperature which is acquired by a substance to get combusted.
