a) Homologous organs: These are the organs which have same basic structure and perform different function . They also appear different.

                                example:- Forelimbs of human and forelimbs of bird.

b) Analogous organs: These are the organs which have different basic structure but perform similar functions . They appear similar to each other.

                                example:- Wings of bat and wings of bird.

c) Fossils: These are the dead remains of the plants and animals which were buried under the earth before millions of years ago . They tell us about the process of evolution .
