The three main functional region are :
1. Mitochondria :
These are known as the power house of the cell. it helps in the synthesis of ATP ( Adenosine triphosphate ). These are self, replicating organelle. They have their own DNA and ribosomes. They are double membrane bound organelle.
2. cell membrane - it is also known as the plasma membrane. it is semi - permeable means allows only few nutrients to enter the cell. it provide support to the cell. it is elstic and living.
3. cytoplasm - it is the fluid content of the cell. it is the site of the various biochemical activities.
