Acids give hydrogen gas along with respective salt when they react with metal. The presence of hydrogen gas is confirmed by a pop sound that is produced by hydrogen gas when it comes in contact with fire. Hydrogen gas and zinc chloride are formed when hydrochloric acid reacts with zinc metal.
