- Plants absorb lots of water but it only use a small amount of water for metabolic activities and most of the water moves out of plants through guttation and transpiration.
- In transpiration, the water moves out through pore in leaves and stems and gets evaporated in the atmosphere.
Experiment:
Tie a plastic bag around a leave in the night.
Take out the plastic bag in the early morning.
You will see the moisture or water droplets on the leave.
