To combat gender inequality in politics, the Indian Government has instituted reservations for seats in local governments. Women turnout during India's parliamentary general elections was 65.63%, compared to 67.09% turnout for men. India ranks 20th from the bottom in terms of representation of women in Parliament.

Explanation:

As i know the women are always keeps behinding . as we can see the example of french revolution . in it women took part with great enthusiasm but after the democracy women were not given any rights.that's why the part of them is different in different regions . as you can see in canada there is a great part of women

the reason behind it that are our traditions, taboos and restrictions to the women.and women mostly don't have intrest in politics . in india now also people thinks that women can't work with men . they are less than men
