First of all this is my own original content !!

Work energy says that the change in energy is equal to work done . So , for example a box is placed on a table and you pick the box up to a height h . So the change in energy is equal to the potential energy which is mgh . Hence the work done in picking up the block to a height h is equal to potential energy i.e mgh .
