explain work of wind class 7
Answers
Answer:
Work of Winds
Winds carry dust, sand, volcanic ash etc. from one place to another. In the deserts, wind is an active agent of erosion and deposition.
In deserts, degradation and sedimentation are actively influenced by the wind. Mushroom-shaped rock formations, also called mushroom rocks, are common in desert areas. Winds wear the rock's bottom part more than its bigger proportion. As a result, these rocks have a larger top and a smaller base. Sand is lifted and moved from one location to another by the wind. Sand falls and is buried in a low, hill like mound when the wind ceases. We refer to these as sand dunes. When the grains are relatively small and light, they can travel great distances in the wind. Loess is the term used when such sand is spread out across a vast area.
