explain working of a fuse wire.

The fuse wire has the low melting point. It is used in the fuse .The current passes through the wire .If the large amount of current flows through the circuit ,it can cause damage to the electrical appliances.
If the more current is passed through circuit the wire melts and short circuit takes place.
