--The Big Bang Theory, also called expanding universe hypothesis, is the most popular argument among the scientific community regarding the origin of the universe.

--The Big Bang theory considers the following stages in the development of the universe:
1. In the beginning, a “tiny ball” (singular atom) existed with infinite volume, infinite temperature and infinite density. This tiny ball had all the matter necessary to form the universe.
2. At the Big Bang about 13.7 billion years ago, the ‘tiny ball’ exploded violently. This led to a huge expansion, which continues even today. As it grew some energy was converted into matter. The expansion was very rapid within fractions of a second after the bang, thereafter, the expansion slowed down.
3. The temperature dropped to 4500K within 300,000 years from the Big Bang event, and it gave rise to atomic matter. The universe became transparent as well.

--This distribution of matter and energy after the Big Bang was not uniform.
-- These initial density differences gave rise to differences in gravitational forces and it caused the matter to get drawn together.
-- These formed the bases for the development of galaxies and subsequently stars and planets.
--According to the Big Bang theory, the universe is still expanding.
-- As the universe expands, the distance between the galaxies also increases, though it has been found that the galaxies themselves are not expanding.

--Kepler is a space observatory launched by NASA to discover Earth-size planets orbiting other stars.
--the spacecraft was launched on March 7, 2009.
--its sole scientific instrument was photometer.
--it had camera and primary mirror.

mission-its main mission was to determine size size and shape of different planets and also estimate the number of planets in solar system.
