respiration through mouth is harmful because air is mixture of many gases such as oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen and many more. as we inhale through out we take carbon dioxide and nitrogen along with oxygen. while we inhale air from nasal cavity then the air is filtered by fine hair which was present in our nasal cavity.
