Question) If 100g of calcium carbonate on heating produce 44g of carbon dioxide, how much quicklime will be formed? Which no is followed for solving this problem​

this question is based on law of conservation of mass.It states that the mass can neither be created or nor be destroyed during chemical reaction.

therefore,Mass of Calcium Carbonate = Mass of the Carbon dioxide + Mass of quick lime.

So,100g = 44g + Mass of quick lime

Or,Mass of quick lime = (100-44)g

= 56g

Therefore,Mass of quick lime = 56g.
