To begin with they shouldn't have been allowed to rule in the first place.The way they attained power was by taking advantage of the disputes and jealousy between the numerous small kingdoms of our country.The only thing the British wanted from our nation was its spices and its riches and they used the most mean and unthinkable ways to take it away from the commoners.The economy of india at that time was the richest and number one in the world and it was all ruined by the British rule
