How do I explain a two year gap in my resume? In the two years, I got married and moved to four different countries and didn't really have a work visa in one of these countries and had a major language barrier in another (here, I volunteered for about 4 months). In the other two, I vacationed most of the time and completed a Master's degree. Now, I'm ready to start looking for regular work in the Bay Area. I have a chronological resume now and I feel I will need to change it to a functional one. What more can I do at the resume stage of application and at the interview stage?
