National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) is a law that guarantees employment to people living in rural India. This act was passed in September 2005. The objectives of NREGA 2005 is to implement the right to work law in 200 districts of the country. This law helps people who are willing to work and in need of a job. It also says, if the government is unable to provide employment, employment allowance shall be given to the people.
