Telangana Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday launched the fourth phase of the state government's ambitious plantation programme, ‘Telangana Ku Haritha Haram', from his constituency of Gajwel.
The CM planted a sapling at Gajwel town, before he traveled to several village towns including Turkapalli, Mulugu and Pregnapur.
“If we protect nature, it protects us. If nature exhibits its anger, then the existence of human beings becomes difficult. That is the reason why our elders educated us on worshipping nature, so that the rain god bestows his blessing on us,” the Chief Minister was quoted as saying.
