The most common of the fire extinguishers is the soda ash fire extinguisher or CO2 fire extinguisher. The CO2 is liberated by the action of acid on baking soda or sodium bicarbonate. It increases the amount of CO2 in air and carbon dioxide is non supporter of combustion. It was invented by almon granger in the US in 1881.
