Answer:In this poem Shakespeare compares Age and youth. They provide a striking contrast to each other. Every verse highlights one virtue of youth contrasted to Age. As follows.

2Winter-------------------Summer

3.unhealthy and short of breath.-------------------------sportive and strong.

4lame------------------------nimble

5.weak and cold,------------------hot and bold,

6tame-----exciting.

So the poet draws the conclusion that he hates old age but loves youth.

A madrigal is a musical composition usually on the popular theme of love. Here the poet advises the young not to waste time but celebrate love.
