(a)  Chart Styles" is an often requested feature to easily assign charts a certain set of styles (colours/pattern of data representation, line width, background colour, charting background, type of legend a.o) to a chart.

Click the chart, and then click the Chart Design tab. Click Add Chart Element > Chart Title, and then click the title option that you want. Type the title in the Chart Title box.

To format the title, select the text in the title box, and then on the Home tab, under Font, select the formatting that you want.

Scientists like to say that the "independent" variable goes on the x-axis (the bottom, horizontal one) and the "dependent" variable goes on the y-axis (the left side, vertical one).
