The exponential form =  ({ \frac{ - 2}{3} })^{3}

GIVEN:- -8/27

TO FIND:- exponential form

SOLUTION:-

  • If we multiply a number by itself several times, then it can be written in a short form called exponential or power notation.

  • In general, for any rational number a and a positive integer n we define {a}^{n} = a×a×a (n times). The number 'a' is called the base and n is called the exponent or power or index.

According to the question,

-8/27 can be written as,

(-2)³ = -8

(3)³= 27

 \frac{ - 8}{27}   \\ =  \frac{ - 2 \times  - 2 \times  - 2}{3 \times 3 \times 3  } \\  =   \frac{ { - 2}^{3} }{ {3}^{3} }  \\  =   ({ \frac{ - 2}{3} })^{3}

Hence, the exponential form= ( { \frac{ - 2}{3} })^{3}
