Answer:

‘The Ball Poem’ was written by John Berryman. In the poem, he describes how a little boy mourns over for his lost ball. The intention of the author is to express that nothing in this world is eternal. Sometime we might have to lose the things we love but we just have to learn to stay strong and move forward in life.

I feel that the title is quite appropriate because balls are one of the material things that are bouncy and that are easily lost. All of us will surely have that experience of losing things we love. The name of the poem itself narrates a meaning that it is a ball and could be rolled down our hands and could get lost.

The ball poem is about that life is precious and should not be wasted .Life has to be lived. And life cam be live purposefully and fruitfully only when we stand up and come out of depression ...The young boy lost his ball.
