Multiply ( 1 ) with 100

100x = 23.555555.... ---( 2 )

Multiply ( 2 ) with 10

1000x = 235.555...--- ( 3 )

Subtract ( 2 ) from ( 3 )
990x = 212

x = 212/990

x = 106/ 495

ii ) let y = 1.27777....---( 4 )

Multiply ( 4 ) with 10

10y = 12.7777......( 5 )

Multiply ( 5 ) with 10

100y = 127.777...( 6 )

Subtract ( 5 ) from ( 6 )

90y = 115

y = 115/90

Therefore ,

x = 0.235 bar = 106/495

y = 0.127bar = 115/90
