Then ,

Now ,

Multiplying eq-(1) by 10 , we get ;

=> 10 × X = 10 × 4.999. . .

=> 10X = 4.999. . . -------(2)

Now ,

Multiplying eq-(2) by 10 , we get ;

=> 10 × 10X = 10 × 4.999. . .

=> 100X = 49.999. . . ------(3)

Now ,

Subtracting eq-(2) from eq-(3) , we get ;

=> 100X - 10X = 49.999. . . – 4.999. . .

=> 90X = 45

=> X = 45/90
