The number which can be written in the from of p/q where p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero is called a rational no. Since, q must be equal to 1 hence all integers are rational numbers.
Given number is 0.585
We have to concert it int a rational number. It means we have to express this number in the form of p/q
0.585 = 585/1000
ON simplification, we get:
0.585 = 117/200
This is the simplified p/q form of the given number since it cannot be simplified further.
