Given : 0.6

To Find : express 0.6 in the p/q  form, where p and q are integers and q≠0

Solution:

N = 0.6

=> N = 6/10

=> N = 3/5

0.6 = 3/5

if N = 0.6 bar  = 0.\overline{6}

=> 10N = 6.\overline{6}

=> 9N = 6

=> N = 6/9

=> N = 2/3

0.\overline{6} = 2/3
