(1/2+3/4)=5/4=1.25

now,

1.25/2=0.625

now 1/2=.5 and 3/4=.75.

hence .625lies between .5 and .75

Answer:

\frac{( \frac{1}{2}+\frac{3}{4} ) }{2} =\frac{2+3}{8}=\frac{5}{8}\\

We know that    \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{4}{8}

                            \frac{3}{4} =\frac{6}{8}

So \frac{5}{8} lies between  \frac{4}{8} and  \frac{6}{8} .

     \frac{4}{8} < =  \frac{5}{8} < =  \frac{6}{8}

Hence shown.
