Can this question be done as 10³.

1000 = 2³ * 5³

GIVEN

A number; 1000

TO FIND

To express 1000 as the product of his prime numbers.

SOLUTION

The above problem can be simply solved as follows;

Prime numbers are those numbers that can be either divided by themselved or by 1.

To express 1000 As the product of its prime numbers. We will do prime factorisation of 1000

Therefore,

1000 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 5 × 5 × 5

Now,

The prime factors will have exponents equating to the number of times it is repeated.

Therefore,

1000 = 2³ × 5³

Since, 10 is not a prime number it cannot be written as 10³

Hence, The answer is 2³ × 5³
