Solution:

We have been given a number and asked to find its prime factors.

The given number is 21168

So to prime factorize the given number we must divide it my prime numbers so as to get whole numbers only, till the number becomes 1.

So we divide the given number 21168 by 2  

We get 10584 we continue to divide the number by 2 till its no longer divisible.

We get the number as 1323 since it is not divisible by 2 we divide it by 3

Which gives us 441

On continued division we get 49

Which is not divisible by 3 so, we divide it by 7 till we get 1.

Hence, 21168 expressed as product of prime factors is:

2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3 \times 3 \times 7 \times 7
