3) Subtract x from 100x both sides

4) We will get the value of x in p/q form

Express the number in p/q form

Solution

Let x = 23.47bar

x = 23.474747.......

Multiplying both sides by 100

100x= 2347.47.......

Now subtracting 100x from x

100x- x = 2347.47 - 23.47

99x = 2324

x = 2324 /99

23.47bar = 2324/99

So, 23.47bar in the form of p/q is 2324/99.
