We know that,

  • If unit digit of a number is 0 , it is divisible by 2 .
  • 2 is the smallest prime number .
  • If unit digit of a number is 5 , it is divisible by 5 .

So,

→ 250 = Unit digit zero .

then, dividing 250 by 2 we get,

→ 250 ÷ 2 = 125

now,

→ 125 = Unit digit five .

then, dividing 125 by 5 we get,

→ 125 ÷ 5 = 25

again,

→ 25 = Unit digit five .

then, dividing 25 by 5 we get,

→ 25 ÷ 5 = 5

finally,

→ 5 ÷ 5 = 1

therefore, expressing 250 as the product of prime factors :-

→ 250 = 2 × 5 × 5 × 5

hence,
