The Newton and Dyne are the units representing force. A Newton is a derived unit for force followed under the International System of Units (SI Units).

A dyne is also the derived unit of force followed under Centimeter-Gram-Second (CGS) units system.

The relation between newton and dyne is crucial in solving problems.

Newton And DyneThe units for force Newton and Dyne relation can be mathematically expressed as

-1 newton = 105 dyne

1 dyne = 10-5 newton

In order to understand the relation. It is important to know the terms individually.

A force is a push or a pull applied on a body, Force is a vector quantity means it have both magnitude and direction. There are two units for measurement of force, the are so :

Newton : It is the force which when applied on a body of mass 1 kg produces an acceleration of 1m/s^2.

Dyne : It is the force which when applied on a body of mass 1gm produces an acceleration of 1cm/s^2.

Now the relationship between Dyne and Newton is derived in the attachment. Thus by that derivation we can say that:

1newton =  {10}^{5} dyne

Now in this case 3 newtons of force = x dynes?

3n =  {10}^{5}  \times 3dynes

3n =  {30}^{5} dynes

Thus 3 Newtons of force is equals to 30×10^5 Dynes.
