Hey mate ,
As a sum of negative integers .
(-4)+(-4 )= -8
No -ve number can be expressed as the sum of two whole number ( as they are +ve)
Thus ,
if it would have been one negative integer and one whole number then it was possible .
(-16)+8 = -8
